Your time and talent is a gift that can make a wonderful difference in changing lives! Beauty for Ashes has many volunteer opportunities. With your help the ability to give hope and healing to our community & families is limitless.

Residential Interaction Opportunities
Provide transportation for residents to medical and other appointments
Teach a craft or a life skills class like money management/budgeting, household repairs, home décor, crafts, etc.
Invite a woman to join a club, attend an event, go shopping
Provide an outing for the women—a cookout, night out at the movies, a church function
Donate tickets to events
Provide one-to-one mentoring to women and children
Assist new resident in orientation to Beauty for Ashes process
Evening & weekend hours available to help with women and children
Host a birthday party for a woman or child at BFA
Special thanks to

Connie and Mike Thomas who invited our families to a Christmas dinner in their home complete with gifts;
Tom and Shirley Colvill who hosted a cookout and games for our families on a holiday.
Administrative Opportunities
Help answer phones and doors, assist with donations
Throughout the year, help affix labels, sort letters and other mailing tasks
Run errands for the shelter
Special projects volunteers: computer skills needed
Teach a self-growth class like self-esteem, Boundaries, anger management, parenting
Ministry Assistance Opportunities
Introduce Beauty for Ashes to your club, fellowship, organization, or employer
Help with presentations
Serve as an advisor or a taskforce volunteer on Budget, Development, Program, Technology, Volunteer, or Governance concerns
Encourage your club, service or church group to sponsor a fund raiser for Beauty for Ashes
Be a publicity advisor or help with graphic design
Create a video about Beauty for Ashes for presentations
Special Events Opportunities
Help with obtaining and coordinating sponsorships, prizes or donations
Help on the day of an event--coordinate, direct attendees, serve food, staff a booth, park cars, take pictures and more!
Orchestrate public relations for fund raising events
Help prepare materials/food for events
Organize a fund raiser
Recruit volunteers for events
Organize a walk team or be a walker in the Homeward Bound Walk in 2010
Sell Elder Beerman “Community Day” coupon booklets
